This week, in Mr. Junaid's Class This week, we focused on continuing our short division practice before moving into long division in the next week or two depending on how we are progressing. In LA, we have been focusing on poetry, with cinquain and acrostic being the types of poetry studied. We will move onto colour poetry next week. In social studies, we kept working on our presentations for Canadian black history month, and we will finish and present these projects next week. Lastly, we reviewed circuits, but will be continuing review and application next week. The photos show some puppet making from the residency here at the school, as well as some math games. I hope you all have a great weekend!

A show what you know will be given in routine again next week, as well as some reading assessments for the students!   Welcome to Mr. Junaid's Class! This week, we learned about Canadian black history month, circuits, poetry, and we reviewed multiplication and practiced through games. We also took some time for snack, but watched educational documentaries from national geographic for kids. We also had body break dancing, which led the kids to be much more prepared for their learning. We finished off with our weekly show what you know, and had a fun Friday. Next week we will continue our poetry, circuits and social studies learning, but also will be starting to look at division. We will be at this for 6-8 weeks, depending on student progress, and we will get lots of practice so we can feel more comfortable with it.   -Mr. Junaid.
