Week of April 3rd to 6th





This week, we settled back in from spring break, starting our poetry books before we begin our story writing unit. In social, we have begun our exploration of the history of immigration in Canada. Science had us beginning our short magnets unit before we begin classroom chemistry. Lastly, we have been studying and playing multiplication and division jeopardy to prepare for Tuesday! Week of April 24th to 28th

Hello again everyone! This week was a busy week, but we are progressing really well! In math, we have covered fractions and percents, and will be moving into review next week before a small quiz! After this, we will be moving on to statistics and probability! In science, we have started our classroom chemistry unit, and the students have had a blast with their solutions and mixtures! In social, we tried working with history scripts, and it was a lot of fun from what they had said! I always want to make subjects as fun and engaging as I can. Lastly, in ELA we have been working hard at our story writing, breaking down all parts of the story before writing and editing our stories in a couple weeks! Week of June 5th to 9th

 Hello All! This week, we have been wrapping up our story good copies, and will be moving onto mythology and other fiction topics in the next coming weeks before the year ends! We are far into our wetlands adventures in science, and the students have been doing well researching wetlands animals. In math, we are working on our estimation project, which is allowing the students to go on hypothetical shopping sprees, and then adding up their totals and using estimation strategies to calculate which will be the closest to the actual total. Lastly, in social studies, we are finishing our time capsule project, along with our social studies scripts, and are excited for our gallery walk coming soon! Have a great weekend everyone!
